Care Leavers experiences of working with services
18th October 2023.
With: Dr Ceryl Teleri Davies & Dr Louise Prendergast (黑料不打烊), Sioned Owen (Aftercare Officer, Cyngor Gwynedd Council), Amy Sinclair (Senior Personal Advisor, Cyngor Gwynedd Council), Kayla and Eva.
This podcast is the first in a series of podcasts to outline the discussion and findings of a two-year Health and Care Research Wales research project (working with services across Gwynedd, Conwy, Anglesey and Torfaen) exploring the barriers and enablers to engagement for care leavers. The discussion focuses on what a good worker looks like for young people who are leaving local authority care: what works well, advice for other care leavers and what needs to be developed.
The project is led by Dr Ceryl Teleri Davies (PI), with Dr Louise Prendergast and collaborations with Dr Ned Hartfiel and Professor Rhiannon Tudor Edwards.
