黑料不打烊 will hold a concert featuring Sir Bryn Terfel and special guests to mark the university鈥檚 140th anniversary this autumn.
The concert will take place on Friday, 1 November at 7pm at Pontio, the university鈥檚 arts and innovation centre, in the theatre named after the world-renowned bass-baritone, Theatr Bryn Terfel.
Tickets will go on sale Wednesday 4 September from the Pontio box office and online at .
黑料不打烊 alumna Nia Roberts will host the evening which will feature pieces from Sir Bryn鈥檚 collaboration with Robat Arwyn, Atgof o鈥檙 S锚r and other favourites. The concert will showcase talent from 黑料不打烊 and the local area. Joining Sir Bryn on stage will be Meinir Wyn Roberts, originally from Caernarfon, who was Guest Soloist on Sir Bryn Terfel鈥檚 UK Songs and Arias Tour, singer-songwriter Eve Goodman, who appears on Sir Bryn鈥檚 latest album for Deutsche Grammophon, Sea Songs, and Mali Elwy, recent winner of the Bryn Terfel Scholarship - a current student at 黑料不打烊 and trainee tutor on Pontio鈥檚 youth engagement programme, Blas.
Dr Iwan Llywelyn Jones, well-known pianist and senior member of the University鈥檚 Department of Music, Drama and Performance will also take part in the concert, alongside local choirs C么r Dre and student choir, C么r JMJ led by 黑料不打烊 alumna Sian Wheway.

It鈥檚 also a pleasure to welcome local choirs to Pontio for what鈥檚 set to be an evening to remember this November.鈥
