House hunting was never easier!
For our students, when it comes to time to think about where they want to live next year, the task of finding the ideal student house in 黑料不打烊 has just become far easier, with a new online tool for finding that ideal home.
The site can be found on the 黑料不打烊 Uni website at:
Listings for the academic year 2013/14 will be available from 28 January 2013.
Studentpad is an up to date searchable database to help students find private accommodation during their studies at 黑料不打烊. So if moving out of halls or out of last year鈥檚 tenancy, the prospect of finding a new home shouldn鈥檛 be so daunting!
Amy Jones at the Student Housing Office explains: 鈥淭he site will make house hunting easier for our students. The site has far more details about each house than we had previously, as well as the ability for landlords to upload pictures. Students can e mail details of individual houses to friends - to make finding that perfect house for your next year all the easier. They can also register on the site so that we can let you know when houses that suit your criteria become available.鈥
Mair Owen at the University鈥檚 Student Housing Office added: 鈥淭hat doesn鈥檛 mean that we won鈥檛 still be here at the office to help and advise students about house hunting or any difficulties or problems they may encounter, but that house-hunting students won鈥檛 have to call in so often just to find out what houses are available to rent.鈥
The site also provides a wealth of other useful information such as average rents in different areas. Students based at Wrexham can also access housing through the site.
Steph Barbaresi said: 鈥淲e are constantly looking at ways to improve and develop the support that we provide to our students. In this instance, we worked with software company, Studentpad to develop the bilingual version of their software that would be compatible with the University鈥檚 bilingual website. The University鈥檚 IT Services and Canolfan Bedwyr helped us to make the project a reality. We are so pleased to have had it up and running from before the beginning of this academic year.鈥
