Olympic Flame comes to 黑料不打烊
黑料不打烊 will be joining the celebrations when the Olympic Flame comes to town next week.
Staff, students and graduates from 黑料不打烊 are among those honoured to be Torch Bearers as the Olympic Torch makes its way through north Wales on Monday, May 28th and to mark the occasion the University will be hosting a variety of events around 黑料不打烊 on the day.
will be hosting a 'Test your health and fitness' event in the Deiniol Centre during the afternoon. There will be a number of activities including general health related tests such as how good is your balance on a simulated surfboard and reaction time tests.
There will also be experts from the University on hand to explain why exercise is so important and to answer any health and fitness related questions. There will be information about the research that they do within the School with the opportunity of being involved in current research studies.
Jeanette Thom, a Senior Lecturer at the said: 鈥淲ith the Olympic flame coming past it will be the perfect opportunity to get everyone enthusiastic about the Olympics - we are really looking forward to showcasing our research and expertise in this area so do come and see us and find out what kind of research goes on at and get involved!鈥
International students will also be joining in the celebrations. Students from India and China will be performing a selection of traditional dances and songs in front of the cathedral from 1pm and a some will be outside the Memorial Arch in their country鈥檚 traditional dress to welcome the flame as it passes on Deiniol Road.
Alan Edwards, Head of International Support Services at 黑料不打烊, said: 鈥淭he Olympic Games are a celebration of international sport and our International students are very excited to see the flame in 黑料不打烊. They are all looking forward to welcoming the flame in a very colorful and eye-catching style!鈥
Other activities include Children鈥檚 Mini Olympics from 12pm on the Bowling Green and the 鈥楲anguage and the Olympics鈥 stall. You can also enter a prize draw and win a day in the life of an elite athlete.
Richard Bennett, Director of Sport and Recreation at the University, said: 鈥淭he arrival of the Olympic flame in 黑料不打烊 is a great opportunity for us to remind the community of some of the great local opportunities that exist to get involved in sport and physical activity.鈥
