REF 2014: results confirm Law School鈥檚 research impact
The Head of 黑料不打烊 Law School welcomed the School鈥檚 REF results, which follows the ten year old Law School鈥檚 first submission to the Research Excellence Framework.
鈥淲e see our first set of results under REF as very encouraging,鈥� said Prof Dermot Cahill. 鈥淥ur very high Impact score (100% at 3*, i.e. internationally excellent) is particularly satisfying as we focus on carrying out research that addresses real issues of concern to society.
鈥淥ur research has supported the widening regional availability of law services, for the benefit not just of Wales but within the wider UK, while our work in the area of Procurement legislation has been extremely important input into the framing of public policy in this important area.
鈥淔or a relatively young Law School, these REF results mark yet another significant milestone in our continuing rapid development, and demonstrates just how well connected we are to the needs of the legal sector.
