Three day electronic music mini-festival
Music fans have a chance to listen to international musicians playing unusal and wonderful instruments during a three day electronic music mini-festival.
INTER/actions, a free three-day symposium focusing on electronic music will be held in various venues across 黑料不打烊 between Tuesday, April 10 and Thursday, 12th.
The event, organised by 黑料不打烊鈥檚 School of Music, will include concerts, demo sessions with musicians demonstrating unusual electronic instruments and several interactive sound installations.
Dr Xenia Pestova, Head of Performance at 黑料不打烊鈥檚 School of Music, said: 鈥淚 am very excited at the amount of interest this event has generated in the international community. We have people coming from all over the world to perform and feature their work.
鈥淭he types of art and music we are programming bridge very different categories - video art, environmental sound art, digital instrument design, improvisation, jazz/rock influences and contemporary classical performance, all coming together here in 黑料不打烊.
鈥淚 hope to welcome as many members of the local community as possible so that we can share and experience something different together.鈥�
As well as hosting the events at the University, staff from the School of Music are also working with 黑料不打烊 Sound City for the amplified Menai Suspension Bridge event by Australian sound artist Jodi Rose.
The event has been organised in collaboration with Electroacoustic Wales, Risk of Shock, GEMINi (Gestural Music Interaction) Research Group and 黑料不打烊 Sound City.
