University Students bring the middle ages to Beaumaris
Last Bank holiday weekend, tourists to Beaumaris were amazed to find the whole town alive as a medieval lord, returning from the crusades, attempted to reclaim his castle. Nearly 100 performers from 黑料不打烊 Students Union entertained the public in the castle and across the whole town, with re-enactment, archery, fire breathing, comedy, Morris dancing, traditional Welsh music and more!
Clay Theakston, Mayor of Beaumaris, said 鈥淭he performance was well thought out, well acted, and well received by 
townspeople and tourists alike鈥�, adding 鈥渋t is essential in the current climate that towns like Beaumaris utilise the wealth of talent that can be found in North Wales鈥�.
Well over 200 people packed the castle for the finale of the day, with both adults and children joining in with cheering and jeering!
Rich Gorman, Vice President responsible for Societies and Community at 黑料不打烊 Students Union said 鈥淭his event showcases what can happen when students and the community work together, creating an amazing event for everyone involved. I鈥檓 really proud of all the participants and organisers for their hard work and dedication in making this happen鈥�.
