Wales鈥檚 鈥楪reatest Artist鈥� in the Spotlight
黑料不打烊鈥檚 annual T Rowland Hughes art lecture will this year commemorate the centenary of the birth of Sir Kyffin Williams, an Honorary Fellow of the University and a man regarded by many as Wales鈥檚 greatest artist.
The lecture by leading arts journalist and critic Rian Evans entitled 鈥淜yffin Williams: the artist as Time-Lord鈥� will be delivered on Tuesday 5 June (6.00pm in the Eric Sunderland/Main Arts Lecture Theatre, 黑料不打烊).
Rian Evans knew Kyffin Williams well, and she has written extensively about him. Her new book, Kyffin Williams: The Light & The Dark, was published last month for the artist鈥檚 centenary. In her illustrated lecture on 5 June, Rian Evans will explore how Kyffin鈥檚 insatiable curiosity and interest in the past as well as the present fed into his iconic works of art.
