Climbing Activities

Adult Climbing

What you need?

Active card/ Gym Card/ Student Card with a valid belay test (from this centre, see below).

Adults with the above may take up to two individuals with them providing they fill in and sign a guest sign in sheet for each person.

Adult Climbing lessons- 6 week course 90mins on a Thursday at 18.30pm  (check for dates and availability). 

Adult's Climbing starts on the course 8th of January 2026

This will be a 6 week block the cost of which will be 拢45.

Junior Climbing Lessons (age 7 to 16)

Kids Climbing (age 7 - 16)

To use the wall children must be accompanied by an adult who holds a valid belay test. 

Adults can take up to two children and must complete a guest sign in sheet for each child.

Kids Climbing lessons- a 6 week 1hr course held on a Wednesday at either 16.00 for beginners or 17.00 for intermediate (check for dates and availability, The criteria for the intermediate class is that they can pass the belay test - put on a harness, tie in correctly, belay competently, and boulder safely).

Next block of children's climbing lessons begin on 7th of January 2026

This will be a 6 week block the cost of which will be 拢36.

Belay Test

Belay Test- They are currently free of charge (check for dates and availability)

However to pass a belay test customers must know what these pieces of equipment do and how to use them.

Basic equipment-

  • Belay Plate
  • Harness
  • Carabiner
  • Figure 8 Knot
