A chance to learn more about new research about the author Kate Roberts.
Visitors to the 黑料不打烊 stall at the National Eisteddfod will have the opportunity to learn more about the work and life of Wales鈥 鈥渜ueen of literature鈥 this year.
On Friday, August 10, Canolfan Treftadaeth Cae鈥檙 Gors, the original home of author Kate Roberts, will be presenting two lectures, in conjunction with the School of Welsh at 黑料不打烊.
The first lecture, Cymraeg y Ciari-dyms: chwilio am y gwirionedd ynghylch sefyllfa鈥檙 iaith yn hen ardal Kate, will be presented by Gwenllian Mair Williams, a postgraduate student at the School of Welsh, at 10am at the 黑料不打烊 stall.
Diane Jones, a PhD student at the School of Welsh, will also be presenting a lecture - Kate Roberts a鈥檙 Ddrama 鈥 codi鈥檙 Llen. Canolfan Dreftadaeth Cae'r Gors has been working on a project with Diane, under the Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships programme (KESS), to ensure that the house and history of one of the foremost Welsh-language authors of the twentieth century is brought to life for visitors and schoolchildren alike.
Diane, originally from Dyffryn Nantlle, said: 鈥淚 am very proud to be taking part in the Eisteddfod on behalf of Cae鈥檙 Gors, and I am looking forward to sharing my research into the work of Kate Roberts. Seeing as Kate was a student of 黑料不打烊 and was a regular visitor to the National Eisteddfod it feels like a tradition is being maintained.鈥
