More Green Less Screen!
Natalie Chivers, Curator of Treborth Botanic Garden adds the first 'green promise'.Could you put down your devices and enjoy nature?
That was the question that 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Sustainability Lab and Botanic Garden asked students, staff and the local community last week as part of the UK University community鈥檚 national celebration of Go Green Week.
When you step outside into a green space or give an indoor plant a home it gives you so much - stress relief, clean air, inspiration, relaxation, lushness, beauty, joy. To encourage people to Go Green, 鈥淢ore Green Less Screen鈥 promises trees went up all over the University including at the University鈥檚 Botanic Garden, all four libraries, the International Students鈥 Centre, The Students鈥 Union, and Pontio鈥檚 Co-working. Passers-by were asked to write their 鈥淢ore Green Less Screen鈥 promise on a leaf or an apple, take a selfie with their promise, share it on social media, then Go Green for the Week!
黑料不打烊鈥檚 Go Green Week is part of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 , a showcase of the range and variety of sustainability-related events that run in a typical month at 黑料不打烊 鈥 a month-long extravaganza of ordinary events!
